Authenticated copy of an inventory of precious stones seized by the French revolutionary government, compiled by the Financial Section of the Comité de Salut Public for the general comptroller of finances, Joseph Cambon. The list contains 24 records (procès verbaux) identified by a number or by the names of previous owners/estates: the queen, Madame Bourbon, la Du Barry, Fontainebleau, the Trésor de Franciade, the Dépôt de Lamonnoie, the Garde Meuble and the deposit of the Churches. The inventory mentions the quality and condition of the stones, and suggest the best markets where they could be sold for fast money, such as Constantinople or Cairo.
